Fresh new look for a preteen bedroom

Spring is here, and we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to show off our designs for a preteen bedroom that was completed this week.  This crisp, modern scheme underwent quite a transformation.  Transitioning over the years as what started out as a baby’s room into a room that is much better suited for a hip young girl to hang out in.

The walls were painted apple green and all of the room’s trim were painted white.  The carpet was custom colored to get our youngest client’s favorite shade of purple just right.

Storage was a major challenge for the preteen’s growing wardrobe.  This closet and desk system was designed by us and custom built by one of our favorite millwork shops in the city.  The custom window seat has hinged tops to create additional storage.  If you look close enough you’ll spot apple green piping on the cushions.

A fabric wrapped tackboard was installed above the desk in the same shade of green as the walls.

Display space is always a necessity in a girl’s room.
